In a very changable weather period in mid of February 2023 I noticed a cloud hole of not more than 1-2 hours on a late Sunday morning inviting me to quickly setting up my sun photography equipment. I was interested what was going on with our central star since my last observations and wanted to know whether I was able to confirm an increasing trend in solar activity.
Indeed the activity appeared to rise compared to late 2022 and it was distributed along different areas on the solar chromosphere, balanced between the northern and the southern hemisphere.
